It's been so long since I've posted, I almost forgot my password! Even though my blog has been quiet, I've been busy! There are a few sessions that haven't made it here yet, hopefully in time :)

I used to live across the street from this sweet momma, when were young (like *choke* six years old - a loonnnggg time ago). I have so many fun memories of rocking out to Madonna's Material Girl on her driveway, and bobbing for apples for fun one day in her back yard (do you remember that J?). At that time, their family home was the only home on that whole side of the block, nothing but a big empty field! I got a kind talking-to from my sweet dad one day when I gently plucked a baby robin from it's nest in the field, and brought it home. I even remember riding our 50cc Honda motorbike up and down the field! Hard to think of how it used to look now :)

Every time I see Jenelle, I smile. She's kind, friendly, and super wonderful to her sweet kids and husband. It was an honor to work with you, thank you for asking me, your family is beautiful, and the connection between you all - is what every mother dreams of having.

Just One...

Of a darling family. I opened the session tonight, and couldn't resist this one right off the bat. Early to bed, early to rise, but there will be lots more to share from here :)

Cody & Mallory

I worked with Mallory at the hospital. She's a super talented (and amazingly fast) X-ray technician. Her smile is contageous, her mild mannered way is adorable. Cody has the sweetest smile when he looks at Mallory. He's kind, gentle, and very polite. I first met him when we headed out to Retlaw for their engagement session. Their smile together, gentle touches, and free floating spirits showed me that they were destined to find a great life together.

Their wedding day arrived, and Kyla (my favorite person to bring anywhere and everywhere) and I were excited! We were thrilled to spend our day with them. After a looonnnngggg time, I was ready to hand off their pictures. Patient and kind :) Thank you so much for asking me to be a part, I'm forever greatful. You're lovely!

Be Still And Know.

Know that you have been loved, and will be loved. You can love yourself. And you can love others. Know that you are powerful and mighty. Trust that. But also know that it's ok to be weak, and small. Trust that too. Be confident, be bold. Laugh, lots. And make an effort to smile everyday at least once with all whom you come in contact. Everybody is worthy of your smile, it's a gift sent straight from God, for you to share with the world. But also stand up for yourself. Most times respect comes from this. Cry when you need to. You don't cry enough, somewhere in your sweet little body you decided so young that you don't like to cry. It doesn't have to be in private! Some of my best cries have been when I've let loose whole heartedly and let others hold me up. I'm smart, listen to me. I'm the one, in who's belly you grew. I know you. I love you, and I'm not ready to let you go.

Today you started a journey. I'm proud of you. So proud! My heart swells when I think of you. While I'm excited for you to branch out on your tree a little farther, I'm a little lonesome. You will do good things with your life, I know that. I have a dream for you, and me. That we always love and laugh. The sight of your precious little head tossed back in laughter, the sound that comes straight from your toes, is amongst my most favorite things. Enjoy this ride. And most of all, know how much your momma loves you. I am here for you. Always.
