Crazy Little Thing Called Love

I went trapsing across the prairies today in the blasted COLD Alberta winds, got blown sideways nearly the whole way. And what a fun, cohesive, interconnected, loving, laid-back little family unit I was honored to spend my afternoon with! But I totally knew they were going to be like that. I have been talking to Tara via email for what seems like months now, it was SO nice to finally meet her in person ... we just started shooting the breeze (appropriate choice of wording, huh? couldn't resist...) like old friends. She had asked me for a session to mark the first year of the littlest manly love in her life, and what a handsome guy he is! Curly blonde hair, and beauuuuutiful blue peepers. If you can believe it, we braved the cold (I made them ... mean, aren't I?) and headed outside. We even hopped in the truck and found the neatest little tidbit of a glorious old wooden house, that was ours to use ... once we scared the pigeons out.

I still can't believe we didn't get stuck going through the fields. I'm so positively certain I'm happy we didn't. Because even though I said I'd run back to my truck to transport the stuck troups, I really didn't want to ;-) Have you all thawed out yet? I've just recently regained the use of my fingers... It was COLD!

Thank you for a fabulous afternoon, I'd be more than happy to do it again someday!

John couldn't believe how flexible you are:) Thank you so much for coming all the way out here and braving the awful wind, and letting us drag you all over the place to get these gorgeous pictures! I can not wait to see the rest and to work with you again :)
