Peek-A-Boob Nursing Cover Giveaway!

I have never done something like this before on my blog - and this is for something I'm very passionate about! As a mother of three, I have been very fortunate to be able to nurse my babies ... Sophie is the third, and I have no plans to stop any time soon. It has had it's challenges, but I'm so greatful for many reasons that I have thus far been able to do so. When I first had Tatum, I was beyond uncoordinated, and the thought of nursing in public was just that - a thought. I tried once or twice, but the darn blanket I'd so sloppily slung over my shoulder would fall off, or she'd push it out of the way when she had reached the nosey-six-month-old stage. I gave up without question, and admitted defeat. I happily nursed Tatum until she was 11 months old.

When Brock came along, I was a little better, a little faster, and a wee bit more coordinated. So I decided to brave the waters once again. Until I had the blanket thing under control, I would still find a quiet corner to tuck myself into to save myself the embarrassement should the blanket fall down (invariably, it would) ... and truth be told - I still was very sensitive to other people's comfort level (or lack-there-of) with the whole nursing in public (nip ... see? look at me! I've come a long way!!) thing. I could even nurse Brock laying down (sounds so funny that I couldn't figure it out with Tatum. I don't care what anyone says ... nursing is SO not the most natural thing in the world ... it was hhaaaarrrrddddd the first time - and enormously painful!). I very happily nursed Brock until he was 17 months old

And along came Sophie. Just like riding a bike - my body could sling a blanket sideways like nobody's business. I could sling the blanket and nurse while cooking supper, while eating supper, and even while shopping at the mall! I didn't have the time (or energy) to round up the other two troups and tuck them in the corner whilst I fed the baby (I'm speaking in past tense for some reason ... this is still happening!). And then I saw a friend using a nursing cover, and then another friend. The fabrics were so cool! And they looked so stylish! When one of my friends came from Calgary for a visit, she was nearing the end of her nursing relationship with her third baby. I was then given hers ... and I was scared to use it!! But I learned how. And I love it!! I've gotten so many compliments on it ... but I have to wash it all the time ... because I only have the one ... which leads me to why I'm doing this post ;-)

If you swing on over to http://www.cutelikeme.blogspot.com (I'm SOOO sorry blogger won't link for me anymore!) you will see that is where the GIVEAWAY is coming from!!! And without further ado ... this is what they look like:

Angie,

so jealous your babies nurse! My cousin gave me a nursing cover when Nate was born, sometimes I would put it on while I pumped alone in my bedroom just because the fabric was so cute!
